Bio
Music producer, drummer and percussionist, Maarten Stenakur is a lover of music and film from around the world. Drawing inspiration from traditional musics and movie soundtracks, he creates music which seeks to evoke memories, feelings and imagery of one's imagination.
With a background as a performer of rock, latin, reggae, jazz, alt-country, and electronic music Australia wide, Maarten moved to the Victorian countryside in 2014 and started focusing on creating a solo catalogue of music from his home studio.
Since that time Maarten has released 3 LPs, 4 EPs and 4 Singles and has appeared on multiple collaborations with other artists. Adding to that he has worked hard on his YouTube channel featuring professional film clips, visualisers, live performances and studio demonstrational videos.
He continues to work on new releases, recording collaborations as well as continuing his passion for, and love of, hybrid acousto-electric drumming.
